Water for Life - Royesville & TenegarProject Goal: Sustainable improvement to the health of targeted communities by reducing the incidence of water related diseases. Project Objectives: Improve access to safe water and sanitation for 4,000 Liberians; Construct 2 new wells with hand-pumps; Rehabilitate and/or deepen 6 additional wells; Promote the knowledge of healthy hygienic practices to17 small community groups in two main communities; Demonstrate to village development groups, the building of 50 simple, private household latrines in 2 main communities; Train 2 community committees that include members from all the communities involved who will oversee water and sanitation issues and routine well maintenance. |
